Born and raised in Newfoundland, James Hawksley currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

In film school he developed a passion for the study of dialects, and has a good understanding of the phonetic alphabet. Always a lover of Shakespeare, his favorite comedy is Much Ado About Nothing.

Practicing martial arts since he was eleven years old, he holds a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do, a black belt in Karate. He has also trained in Muay Thai/Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, Kung Fu, and MMA.

He studied piano for 12 years, loves music, and is self-taught on the guitar.

After a magician came to perform at his fourth birthday party, James was enthralled with the idea of making the impossible a reality. Taking it on as a true passion and a hobby for the next sixteen years of his life, he studied it and began doing professional gigs at bars, parties and theatres after leaving film school.

Flying all over the world since he was fifteen years old, he has lived in New York, L.A., London, and has also worked as a model in these markets as well as Hamburg, Miami, Switzerland, and Toronto. He has worked for clients such as International Male Catalogue, Arena Homme+, Attitude magazine, Surface magazine, Cosmo, Versace, Kenneth Cole, Gucci, plus many more.

He has dual citizenship in Canada and Great Britain.
